The Southdowns Challenge Cyclo-Sportive event will roll out of Southwick, near Portsmouth, on Sunday 21st September and then criss-cross' the South Downs Way in Hampshire. The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Waterlooville and assisted by the Fareham Wheelers Cycling Club.

The "Cyclo-Sportive" will be clearly signed (red arrows on a white background) throughout and at no time should you need to refer to notes or maps. The routes are all 'on road' and are a mix of quiet country lanes and some active 'A' and 'B' roads.

As you cross the Downs your ride will be rewarded with wonderful vistas and, in places, challenging terrain especially over the hills at Ditcham Park, Stoner Hill and Beauworth. Both routes chosen have been planned with cycling safety in mind.
